i really wanted to love this place, but the check-in took forever and they gave me a room that smelled like an ashtray. absolutely disgusting. also, instead of an upgrade or a simple complimentary gesture, i was treated like every other guest—shocking! it's like they’ve forgotten how to treat special guests like myself. so disappointing!

Highly recommend for solo travelers

The staff were fantastic, especially Kava breakfast crew. They were friendly and attentive, gave me my space as a solo traveler. And Tanushree from IRD went above and beyond, sharing a lovely dessert platter at checkout, made me feel special. Also, Subhojit was really helpful during dinner, securing some muffins for my journey. It felt like Indian hospitality in full display here.

The front desk staff seemed indifferent, leaving me in limbo without any updates on my reservation. To make matters worse, they were unhelpful when I expressed my frustration, rather than showing concern for my situation, which dampened the overall experience.

I had a delightful stay at Fairfield By Marriott Kolkata. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, ensuring my needs were met promptly. The breakfast offered a fantastic array of options, from Indian dishes to continental favorites. The cleanliness and ambiance of the hotel enhance the experience significantly.

Comfortable room, convenient location, as the nearest airport is only 9 km away, and I particularly enjoyed the fantastic breakfast spread, including Jain options and attentive service during my stay.

Everything was first-rate.

the parking situation could be better, but the breakfast spread was awesome with everything from jain food to a live counter. staff were super helpful with requests, especially yasmin and subhajit, who really stood out. overall, great hospitality!

Outstanding service and delicious food

I had an absolutely wonderful experience during my two-night stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed, especially during our meals at KAVA where Mr Suraj provided excellent service. Our room had a gorgeous view of the city, and the overall cleanliness was impressive. However, the bathroom door causing a lock issue was a bit of a hassle.
